Job Description for Private Equity Associate

Private equity associates are usually the people that help close deals within the business and financial sectors. Their main duties include analyzing the performance of investments, as well as conducting modeling for these investments and preparing reports that display performance-related trends. It is common for a private equity associate to be assigned business and financial portfolios to monitor. Reviewing confidential memoranda about a new investment is another typical duty; additionally,they provide summaries of these memoranda for senior staff. Private equity associates may also conduct initial fundraising as new funds are being formed within their firm.


Private Equity Associate Tasks

  • Assist in processing portfolio transactions.
  • Conduct research to identify investment opportunities and carry out due diligence analysis.
  • Perform financial analysis on clients' investment portfolios to determine potential returns.
