Product Engineer Advice

Q: What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Product Engineer in Rochester:
"Not everything promised is guaranteed."
I would recommend to get it in writing first and signed by whomever has the authority to make those things happened. I did not do so, and now I get a lot of the, "I know you said we promised XYZ, but we didn't write it down, so the specifics are a bit up in the air."

Product Engineer in Warren:
Keep an open mind. Do not assume you know everything; real engineering work is different than book work.
