Production associates are generally in charge of ensuring correct quality control of materials and end products produced by a company, as well as overseeing the quantities and types of materials used to create these products. They typically report to product managers on a daily basis and are also tasked with creating and submitting reports of production work within individual teams or the company as a whole.
Production associates communicate regularly with all staff on the production team to ensure that daily duties are completed in a timely manner and according to all protocols in place. They are also responsible for helping to maintain a clean workplace and some clerical duties within the office, and meeting all deadlines and production standards is essential for success.
Educational requirements for this position can vary, and a college degree may or may not be required depending on the employer. Valuable skills include strong language and communication skills, mathematical skills, and the ability to multitask.
