Job Description for Professional Services Manager

A professional services manager is responsible for supervising all actions within a particular service area. These managers are usually found in businesses where enterprise software and/or other technical products are produced. The main goal of a professional services manager is to serve as the frontline manager on projects, and they must be able to discuss technical and nontechnical aspects of this project with managers, external constituents, and others. Some day-to-day responsibilities of a professional service manager include managing multiple aspects of a project at the same time, developing strong relationships with clients, and serving as an intermediary between the company's sales and technical teams. A professional service manager works closely with the research and development team of the company, as they are responsible for ensuring projects are delivered in a timely fashion in accordance with project requirements.
