Health Education is a great field, but it really helps to have experience even for entry level jobs. Work in the field while in school, even if unpaid (volunteer or internship). Also, if you want to work in a hospital or government agency then work toward your CHES while in school and take the test, etc.

Find out everything you can about the organization. Ask many questions, such as: How often do you have performance evaluations? Does the organization have a performance based compensation? Make sure you know and understand every aspect of your new position. Get a mentor and use the mentor. Make sure you have a viable way to deal with the day to day stress and attempt to keep you stress level manageable.
