Project Architect Reviews

What is it like working as a Project Architect?

Project Architect in Los Angeles:
"Working Outside Of An Architecture Office As An Architect."
Pros: Good hours (no late nights), scheduled raises, flexible schedule/casual work environment.
Cons: The breadth of my skills are under-utilized.

Project Architect in Los Angeles:
"I Am An In-House Architect For A Retail Company."
Pros: I make 150% of the salary I did working in a traditional architecture office. I get to have a life outside of work, and I can actually support myself whilst paying off my student loans. I have a job title (project architect) that would have taken me several years to acquire.
Cons: It's difficult to feel appreciated by people who don't understand the work I do. Also, I feel like some of my more traditional architecture skills are atrophying.
