Public health directors are responsible for leading public health programs for their employer. Tasks performed by these directors include managing a budget, planning programming and services, and ensuring that all programming and services meet constituents' needs. Public health directors may also provide education and counseling related to health issues of concern to their employer and community, as well as ensure that any medical or health supplies needed for public health programming are available.
