What is it like working as a Registered Nurse (RN)?

Pros: I like interacting with my patients and making them feel special.
Cons: All of the charting you have to do. You barely have time to be with your patients and get to talk to them.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Tampa:

Pros: What I love most in my job is seeing my patients smile or share a laugh, even though they aren't feeling well.
I also love seeing my patients get better and be able to go back home to enjoy their family.
Cons: The least thing I love about my job is that they are not updated with computers yet, so we do everything manually, like dinosaur days.

Pros: Serving and helping people. When you look at them and they smile because of the satisfaction they received. It makes me happy.
Cons: When you are working so hard and dealing with all the stressful events and having overtime and still your receiving a little salary.

Cons: 12 hour shifts. After 4 in a row all you want to do is sleep a day or two.

Pros: That when someone is at maybe the lowest point in there life, I can make a difference. I can help my fellow man, and maybe bring a smile to there face.
Cons: The overwhelming stress that sometimes comes when you have a. Patient that you can't help. As you do everything you can for this person, and there pain makes them cry out. You do what you can and they keep declining, and you have 5 other patients who all need you, and I feel like I might be drowning.
