Job Description for Residence Manager, Emergency Shelter

Most residence managers at emergency shelter ensure the smooth operation of the shelter that they are employed at. The managers are in charge of seeing that the residents' needs are being met. They also ensure safety by watching and keeping a close eye on monitors, surveillance, and the grounds. It is also important that residents have their issues resolved in a quick manner. They also provide help, assistance, and guidance for moving in and out of the shelter. Most emergency shelters provide food, activities, clothing, and other types of help to residents staying there, and the manager must ensure that donations and items are properly taken care of.
