A Ronald McDonald House Manager is in charge of delegating a wide range of tasks to ensure that all guests' needs are met at all times. They often meet, greet and say goodbye to the guests and escort those arriving to their rooms while informing them of what the facilities have to offer. They must be well-prepared to handle requests or complaints while keeping an eye on how everything is running in the house and ensuring that all workers are doing their jobs properly.

These managers must be able to develop plans for where everyone will stay and orchestrate move-in and -out dates for all guests. The work is similar to managing a hotel in some ways, as these house managers oversee every aspect of their operations and ensure that everything is in proper order for guests.
Prior managerial and supervisory experience are highly beneficial for applicants. Not all employers require a college degree; excellent leadership, customer service, and managerial skills are essential for all house managers.
