A sales support supervisor is a position that is held in many types of environments. This supervisor is primarily responsible for managing the daily activities of the operational sales team. This position can be found in nearly any environment which sells goods or services. These industries can be automotive, telecommunication, construction, utilities, hospitality, insurance, or pharmaceutical. This is a position which does not always require formal education, other than a high school diploma. However, special consideration is typically given to persons who have attained an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in a related field. A sales support supervisor typically needs at least 3 years of experience within their area. This position will generally keep daytime, weekday hours. Depending on the environment, extended hours may be required.
