They develop effective designs to resolve engineering issues and create phased development plans for improving existing civil engineering designs. They create CAD drafts that create a clear architectural image for other professionals to follow, provide relevant instructions using their technical expertise, and suggest changes to current drawings. Senior CAD designers must constantly evaluate and provide feedback throughout the design process. Additionally, they may need to order new draft prints and other supplies for their department. One of their main tools include a personal computer capable of running the needed software programs to create complex designs.
