Job Description for Senior Test Engineer

Senior test engineers generally work with computer software and hardware. Regardless of how they arrive at their position, senior test engineers are generally required to have at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, fluency with development languages and processes, test environments and prior work experience in their field. Some companies may require their senior test engineers to have specific certifications or security clearances. In addition, a basic foundation in IT knowledge (such as networking, system administration, etc.) is usually helpful.
