Sheet Metal Supervisor Tasks

  • Inspect finished product for quality.
  • Train and mentor employees and apprentices in equipment operation and safety.
  • Estimate, analyze and review work orders for maximum utilization of personnel, materials and equipment.
  • Plan, organize, assign, direct and control personnel, materials and inventory for all aspects of sheet metal production in the field and in the shop.

Pros: Always busy constantly moving around. Troubleshooting and fixing machines. Quality assurance of many different parts. Take pride in training new employees to make them the best at what they do.
Cons: Inconsistency of following policies some days they are followed and other days they are not it gets really irritating. Stress level can be high sometimes to much to do not enough time.
