Shipper/receiver/packer positions are often found in warehouse environments. This job requires labeling, packing, and shipping packages in accordance with regulations set by local, state, federal, and sometimes international laws. They must be able to properly fill out packing and inventory slips to avoid problems with package delivery. Accuracy is important for this position, because customers often expect goods to arrive in a certain time frame. Shipper/receiver/packers must be able to monitor inventory and communicate with supervisors when inventory runs low, as well as weigh, count, and pack items in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
