The main function of a slaughterer is to prepare choice and premium meat by cutting, chopping, and slicing to prepare for purchase and consumption. They are also responsible for wrapping meat after it has been chopped and even rolling it into sausage links and other products. Specifically, slaughterers prepare animal meat by washing, shaving, and removing all feathers, removing the skin, and cutting open and removing what will not be used.
