They are responsible for guiding software programmers and other professionals to meet company objectives, as well as help create software project requirements based on collaboration with colleagues and customer needs. One of the software development director's main responsibilities includes facilitating communication between software developers and support professionals. They also interact with company clients to gather information about possible software product improvements. Software development directors create detailed reports based on the testing and development phases as well.
