Job Description for Solar Sales Consultant

A solar sales consultant provides information to customers about solar power equipment, and they are often the first point of contact. These consultants provide information about costs savings and incentives related to solar power-related equipment and products. Their duties also include finding and setting up meetings with potential solar power equipment customers, maintaining contact with existing customers, generating solar sales leads, and preparing proposals, contracts and quotes. Using computer software to estimate product costs based on variables such as site conditions, prices and electric energy costs is common as well. The solar sales consultant also provides technical information on solar equipment products, and they may prepare or review detailed drawings for solar installations.
