Talking about a raise is not the easiest thing to do. Before approaching the manager, go over what you want to say to him and why you think that you deserve a raise. Generally speaking, its not a good idea to talk about this when you are not in control of your emotions or when you've been pulled up for some shoddy work. Best approach is to setup a time for this with your manager (to make sure he/she wont cut the conversation short!) and then be prepared to talk. If you dont ASK for it, they dont...
