A technical apparel designer strives to create clothing that satisfies customers and furthers the mission of their brand. When designing an article of clothing or an outfit, the technical apparel designer must keep several concepts and goals in mind. First, the designer needs to ensure that produced clothing maintains a consistent fit. Second, the technical apparel designer must ensure that the construction of the articles and garments is of a high quality. Third, grade rules and tolerances for the clothing must be observed.
