Toddler Teacher in Indianapolis:
"I wish I knew the level rating of the job before starting."
My advice would be to work a job like this requires dedication, commitment, patients and understanding of child development. Having age appropriate expectations will save you a lot of stress. It is a rewarding at times stressful job but to have impact on young children lives and their journey through education is Beautiful and makes it all worth it. Toddler Teacher in San Francisco:
"Network, Network, Network."
GET INFANT/TODDLER UNITS (if required by state; it is a requirement in California) ASAP!!!! FIND A MENTOR. ASK SOMEONE TO BE YOUR MENTOR. ASK FOR HELP ALWAYS! Those 3 units...I've seen time and time again come back and haunt people in the field. It makes for a scheduling nightmare when there are too many people without those Infant/Toddler units. I've always stayed to myself. It never occurred to me to ask questions about my career, where I wanted it to go, and how to get there. I've met some incredible women in the field and learned a ton from them, but I never used what I learned to advance my career. Now, I'm stuck. Take it from me. It really is about WHO you know. Be friendly and cordial to everyone you meet. Ask questions whenever you can and don't be afraid of responsibility. And if you don't love what you're doing, don't wait until you do. Save yourself the heartache and move on to something else.

Toddler Teacher in Miami:
