Job Description for Vice President (VP), Investment Banking

The vice president (VP) of investment banking directs and manages a large amount of quantitative financial analyses in the technology sector. The primary responsibility for individuals in this position, generally speaking, is to manage resources, client relationships, and transactions. This includes technical models, discounted cash flow, multiple valuation analysis, merger and acquisitions accretion, and dilution analysis, and credit analysis for clients and investor presentations. They work directly with managing directors in all areas of business, including marketing, transaction evaluation, and transaction processing. They also oversee work performed by analysts and/or associates who have been assigned to specific financial projects.
