Vice presidents (VPs) of operations and administration oversee all aspects of the internal administration of an organization. They plan short-term and long-term roadmaps for their institution, organize departments, coordinate activities among departments, direct company resources, and provide quality control by measuring and adjusting performance. They also manage and enforce the budgetary constraints of the organization and are directly responsible for day-to-day operations within a corporation. Vice presidents of operations and administration work with fellow management to plan, organize, and direct institutional operations. They supervise all internal departments to ensure quality control, as well as analyze complex corporate documents and interpret them for dissemination to other managers or investors. They must be knowledgeable in the field of their corporation to ensure all industry standards, laws, and regulations are followed.
