The waiter/waitress captain is the person that has been put in charge of the rest of a restaurant's serving staff. They generally are promoted to this position after having worked as a waiter/waitress first at a given restaurant. This person must be familiar with everything the restaurant has to offer: This includes menus, bar items, entertainment and any other thing a customer might ask about. Though they oversee the dining room and lead the serving staff, they usually still wait on tables.

Communicate and coordinate with serves and kitchen staff.
Schedule and oversee team of servers.
Take food and beverage orders, give food orders to kitchen and deliver orders.
