Electronics Technician - (City withheld for privacy), California, United States
Immerse yourself into whatever technology your employer has you working on. become the subject matter expert on the systems you work on as quickly as possible. engineers are usually the people who an electronics technician reports to, they do not like having to spoon feed a new person. take initiative, be interested, and try to become a usefull part of the team as quickly as possible.

Should I stay or should I go?
Shipping Packer - (City withheld for privacy), California, United States
When I first started working for this company as a temporary employee I was supposed to work in the assembly area making $10 an hour. On the first week I was there they gave me an aplication so I filled out and attached my resume. Two days later they put me to work in the shipping department and come to find out the person that trained me was leaving two days later. So I stayed there and I already completed my three months (still making $10). I asked if I was getting hired as a permanent and they said yes but they are looking for a suppervisor first then they hired this guy to be the shipping coordinator which was the position from the person that trained me and left. This person do nothing all day I do all the packing and shipping all day, international packages etc. Should I leave or should I hang around? please advise!! Thanks

BAS/New Position
Business Applications Specialist - (City withheld for privacy), California, United States
Make sure that your responsibilities are clearly defined by your immediate supervisor. All BAS/BCA positions are usually involved in a little bit of everything but the main bulk of work is in CCC and identifying the right people for specific mailing lists. Also, if you are the new/first BAS/BCA take your time, you will only learn certain basics with the passage of time and as projects permit.
