Am I ungrateful?
Operations Manager, Financial - (City withheld for privacy), United States
I recently just got my review and went over my raise with the VP. I will be getting a small raise of less than 6% after working for a year and two months. Am i wrong to have expected a bigger raise? Should I go back and tell management that I am not comfortable with this small raise when all we've been talking about was how we've double the size of our company.

Puzzled
Insurance Underwriter, Commercial Property - (City withheld for privacy), Wisconsin, United States
After 17 years, I was downsized from a very structured large company of 1800 persons and found a job at a much smaller and unstructured company of only 20. There was professional and cultural differences. Training, supervision and help resources weak. Unlike myself, many co-workers had little professional training. Regionally locals are suspicious of outsiders. One person with whom I interacted 10% of time displayed unfavorable body language. Although, I was careful not to be arrogant I was asked to leave. I feel abandoned and mislead.
