Knowledge of Strategic Planning seems to be related to bigger paychecks; in fact, skilled alumni bring in salaries that are 77 percent more than their former classmates' salaries ($115K). In addition, those who are savvy in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and SQL are also considered highly skilled.

Benefits and Perks

Some graduates are faced with an attractive benefits package; more than half of survey participants are paid for both vacation time and sick days. A strong majority of former students allocate some part of their earnings to a company-sponsored 401(k) savings plan. Health insurance benefits extend to a fair number of alums, and the larger part of survey participants sign up for dental plans. Additional perks enjoyed by Birmingham Southern College grads include a company-subsidized cell phone, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, and free drinks.
