Graduates of CWU work in a variety of sectors including the construction industry, the accounting, auditing and tax services industry, and the health care industry. The majority of alumni accept jobs in the manufacturing industry. Starting salaries of around $54K are the median among CWU grads.

Degree Major

A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Finance earns CWU students the most money after college (an average about $87K per year). Graduates holding a Bachelor of Science in Bachelor of Science (BS / BSc) fare the worst in terms of compensation with an average yearly salary of $38K.


For former Wildcats, proficiency in Financial Analysis warrants a paycheck that is 43 percent more than other alumni salaries. Nearly one-seventh of CWU grads wind up using Microsoft Excel at their job, which is one of the most common skills among alumni. Also considered top-notch skills are Microsoft Office, Project Management, and Financial Reporting.

Benefits and Perks

When it comes to benefits, there is room for improvement — only two-fifths of alumni are paid for vacation and just one-third of alumni for sick time. Most respondents receive health insurance, and a strong majority of graduates get dental coverage. Most alumni set aside retirement funds in an employer-sponsored 401(k).
