Degree Major

A Bachelor of Science in Finance will compensate CWU grads at a much higher rate than other degrees — these alums rake in $85K on average per year. Those with a Bachelor of Science in Bachelor of Science (BS / BSc) face salaries on the lower end, coming in at an average about $38K per year.


Many former CWU students are familiar with Microsoft Excel, and roughly a seventh of grads move on to positions where this experience is utilized. Financial Analysis commands a pay premium of 46 percent for former Wildcats. Also considered top-notch skills are Microsoft Office, Project Management, and Customer Service.

When it comes to benefits, there is room for improvement — only two-fifths of alumni are paid for vacation and just one-third of alumni for sick time. Dental insurance applies to a fair number of alumni, and most survey participants report health coverage. A large number of grads save up for retirement through a 401(k) plan. Central Washington University alumni are rewarded with additional benefits, such as a casual working environment, life insurance, a company-subsidized cell phone, and flexible hours.
