Graduates of HPU head into a range of vocations when it comes to work; the telecommunications industry, higher education, and the manufacturing industry are just a few professional areas popular among alumni. The consulting industry registers as the most common industry among alumni. The average salary for a grad from HPU is about $63K.

The most generous salaries among HPU alumni are reportedly earned by Information Technology Managers whose earnings come to $110K on average.

Winston-Salem, N.C. is filled with HPU grads. Greensboro, N.C. is also a common destination for HPU grads and offers the best pay with a median salary of approximately $71K. New York, N.Y. is a popular spot for former HPU students at the opposite end of the pay scale; in fact, average salaries there are the lowest at $39K. Neighboring High Point, N.C. is another common pick among HPU grads, along with Raleigh, N.C.

Degree Major

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (CIS) will compensate HPU grads at a much higher rate than other degrees — these alums rake in around $97K on average per year. Average annual salaries for those with a Bachelor of Science in Finance are the lowest of the pack, earning $39K.

Former Panthers with Project Management experience garner salaries that are 28 percent more than other grads' salaries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is common among HPU alumni, and when it comes to using it on the job, approximately one-sixth of former students report doing so. Competency in Project Management, Microsoft Word, and Marketing Communications also warrants excellent remuneration.

Benefits and Perks

A little less than half of the alums report receiving paid vacation days, but just one-fifth of alumni are paid for sick leave. For this school, a fair number of grads are the recipients of health benefits, and a fair number of survey participants pick up dental plans, too. To plan for old age, a strong majority of graduates maintain savings accounts through a company's 401(k) plan. Additional perks enjoyed by High Point University grads include life insurance, a casual working environment, a company-subsidized cell phone, and tuition reimbursement.

Related Schools

Methodist University grads bring in salaries of around $62K, making them the most similar to HPU alumni in terms of earnings. Other schools similar to HPU include Catawba College, Livingstone College, and Shaw University.
