Professionally, the wholesale distribution industry, the shipping, transportation, warehousing, or logistics industry, and the religious private k-12 education industry are popular business areas among Hope alumni. The health care industry is the sector most highly represented among alumni. Starting salaries of $52K are common among Hope grads.

Hope grads who become VPs of Sales & Marketing garner financial rewards beyond any other job type for this group — these alumni rake in $150K annually. However, Project Engineers and Logistics Managers also rank as top-earners (bringing in approximately $70K and $60K, respectively). Marketing Coordinators get the short end of the stick when it comes to salary, where grads report making an average of $36K in this job.

Grand Rapids is a hot spot for Hope alum. Hope grads also flock to Minneapolis, which is home to salaries significantly above average (typical pay is about $78K). Hope College pride remains intact long after college is over, and many former students choose to live in Holland despite the city offering some of the lowest median pay (around $46K). Alumni express interest in Chicago and Kalamazoo as well.

Benefits and Perks

Lacking in the benefits department, just two-fifths of alumni report compensation for sick days and only one in four survey participants get vacation time. To plan for old age, most grads maintain savings accounts through a company's 401(k) plan. Benefits are rather generous for graduates of this school; a fair portion of alumni are rewarded with health insurance and a majority of alums report dental coverage, too. Other benefits that Hope College alumni receive are life insurance, a company-subsidized cell phone, a casual working environment, and tuition reimbursement.

Related Schools
