Nearby Jasper, Ind. is also a top pick for ISU grads, as is Evansville, Ind.

Degree Major

A Bachelor of Science in Aviation will compensate ISU grads at a much higher rate than other degrees — these alums rake in approximately $105K on average per year. Those holding a Master of Science (MS), Communication are less fortunate in terms of earnings, bringing in around $36K on average per year.


Competency in OSHA Compliance translates into above-average pay for former Sycamores — they earn 22 percent more than their fellow graduates. Microsoft Excel is a popular skill among ISU alumni, with approximately one in eight workers reporting using it on the job. Microsoft Office, Project Management, and Operations Management are among other dominant skills.

Benefits and Perks

Though just under half of the graduates get paid time off for vacation, only one in three grads receive paid sick leave. Most graduates participate in a 401(k) program.
