Degree Major

Among the highest-paid Luther alumni are those with a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc), Accounting — they earn close to $101K on average per year. Those with a B.A. in Bachelor of Arts (BA) face salaries on the lower end, coming in at an average $36K per year.


Knowledge of Budget Management seems to be related to bigger paychecks; in fact, skilled alumni bring in salaries that are 48 percent more than their former classmates' salaries (around $82K). Many former Luther students are familiar with Microsoft Office, and nearly one in seven grads move on to positions where this experience is utilized. Proficiency in Project Management, Microsoft Excel, and HTML command top-of-the-line rewards as well.

Benefits and Perks

Slightly less than half of the former students do get paid time off for vacation, but only about one-fourth of alumni get paid sick time. For this school, a large number of survey participants are the recipients of health benefits, and the larger part of former students pick up dental plans, too. Most respondents participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
