A large number of students head to Pittsfield, Mass. after college. It is no surprise that Bennington, Vt., which hands out the biggest paychecks (the average salary is about $47K), is another of the most popular spots for former MCLA students. Relative to other popular cities, North Adams ranks low on the pay scale (average pay is $37K); however, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts grads enjoy the area so much that they often choose to reside here after graduation despite the drawback in salary.

Degree Major

Demonstrated ability in Accounting, Microsoft Excel, and Customer Service rank among leading skills as well.

Benefits and Perks

Slightly less than half of the alums are allowed to take paid time off for vacation, but only about one in three grads get paid sick leave. The larger part of respondents have medical plans, and half of the survey participants have dental insurance. More than half of graduates participate in a 401(k) program. Additional perks enjoyed by Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts grads include life insurance, flexible hours, a casual working environment, and tuition reimbursement.
