Professionally, the health care industry, the banking industry, and the financial services industry are popular business areas among MO State alumni. The most popular professional field seems to be the manufacturing industry. For MO State alumni, high SAT scores do not correlate to high-paying positions in the workforce. Microsoft Office is a popular skill among MO State alumni, with roughly one in eight workers reporting using it on the job. For former Bears, proficiency in Project Management warrants a paycheck that is 35 percent more than other alumni salaries. Microsoft Excel, Project Management, and Customer Service are desirable skills as well.

Benefits and Perks

Slightly less than half of the respondents are allowed to take paid time off for vacation, but only about one in four survey participants get paid sick leave. To plan for old age, a large number of graduates maintain savings accounts through a company's 401(k) plan. It is no small feat that most respondents are given health coverage, and a majority of the survey participants accept dental insurance. Additional perks enjoyed by Missouri State University grads include life insurance, a casual working environment, a company-subsidized cell phone, and tuition reimbursement.
