Graduates of ORU work in a variety of sectors including the education industry, the health care industry, and the health care services industry. The majority of alumni accept jobs in religious service. ORU graduates see an average starting salary of around $51K.

The ORU alumni who make the most are VPs of Finance and Chief Financial Officers; they report a median pay of $155K. Directors of Engineering and Senior Pastors draw in a fair amount as well — about $123K and $58K, respectively. Relative to other positions, compensation dwindles for Youth Pastors; alumni in this role face average salaries of approximately $32K.

Rather than relocating after graduation, many ORU alumni (slightly less than a third of) end up finding permanent jobs in Tulsa. Another city that attracts a wealth of ORU grads is Fort Worth, Texas; given its high compensation ($155K is the average salary), the city's popularity should come as no surprise. The city with the lowest median paycheck frequented by ORU alumni is Washington, DC, where earnings average $37K. Dallas, Texas is also a common pick among ORU grads, along with Albuquerque, N.M.

Degree Major

With a median annual earnings of approximately $133K per year, former Golden Eagles who have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (CS) are the best paid among the alumni population. Ranking last in the compensation department are those holding a B.A. in Psychology — their annual income amounts to $33K on average.

Many ORU grads have knowledge of Project Management, with one in seven alumni using this program on the clock. Former Golden Eagles with People Management abilities can expect to make 46 percent more than their former classmates ($74K). Other prime know-hows include Microsoft Office, Administration, and Leadership.

Benefits and Perks

Although just over half of the survey participants are compensated for vacation days, only one in three grads are paid for sick time. Health insurance benefits extend to a large number of survey participants, and more than half of former students sign up for dental plans. Most graduates report contributing to a 401(k). Additional benefits handed to Oral Roberts University alumni include a company-subsidized cell phone, a casual working environment, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

Related Schools

Median pay for Elon University grads is $51K, making their salaries most similar to those of ORU grads. The University of Evansville, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and Spring Hill College are also similar to ORU.
