Graduates of SFU go into IT services, the education industry, and the home health care industry, not to mention a variety of other lines of work. A large chunk of former SFU students are employed in the health care industry; in fact, this is the most popular job sector for this population. Former SFU students do not typically enter the long-term care or rehabilitation facility industry; in fact, less than five percent of graduates find work in this area, making it the least likely field for this group to enter. Those with an education from SFU earn an average of around $60K.

SFU grads who become Physician Assistants garner financial rewards beyond any other job type for this group — these alumni rake in an average about $78K annually. However, Human Resources Directors also rank as top-earners (bringing in $64K). Relative to other positions, compensation dwindles for Network Operations Specialists; alumni in this role face average salaries of approximately $49K.

Home to a large number of SFU alums, Johnstown, Pa. is by far the most attractive city for these former students. Another city that attracts a wealth of SFU grads is Pittsburgh, Pa.; given its high compensation ($55K is the average salary), the city's popularity should come as no surprise. Though Altoona, Pa. takes the cake for lowest pay among SFU grads (the median salary is $31K there), it remains a common destination for former students. In addition, grads flock to Fort Myers, Fla. as well as State College, Pa.

Degree Major

A graduate with a Master's Degree, Physician Assistant Studies from SFU can rake in a whopping average $105K per year, more than any other degree from this school. A B.A. in Communication is less advantageous in terms of earnings; alums with this degree are the lowest earners with a median annual pay of $46K.

Many SFU grads have knowledge of Geriatrics, with roughly one in ten alumni using this program on the clock. Former Red Flashes with Surgery abilities can expect to make 50 percent more than their former classmates ($90K). Competency in Operations Management, Accounts Payable, and Family Practice also warrants excellent remuneration.

Benefits and Perks

The larger part of grads can rely on paid vacation days, but just one-third of alumni have the luxury of paid sick time. Health insurance benefits extend to a strong majority of alumni, and a majority of former students sign up for dental plans. A fair number of survey participants take advantage of a 401(k) plan. Additional benefits handed to Saint Francis University alumni include life insurance, a company-subsidized cell phone, tuition reimbursement, and 403(b).

Related Schools
