Graduates of SFU go into the home health care industry, the retirement plans industry, and IT services, not to mention a variety of other lines of work. The most popular professional field seems to be the health care industry. Unfortunately, former SFU students — a population with excellent SAT results — report salaries on the lower end of the pay scale. Those with a degree from SFU make an average of approximately $44K.

Many SFU grads end up living in Fort Myers, Fla., deeming it the most popular city for former students of this school. SFU alumni seeking the highest salaries end up in Altoona, Pa., which offers a median salary of around $37K. Though Johnstown, Pa. takes the cake for lowest pay among SFU grads (the median salary is $30K there), it remains a common destination for former students.

Degree Major

SFU students with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Business Administration can expect to make the most money (about $90K on average per year) compared to their fellow graduates. A Bachelor of Science in Accounting is less advantageous in terms of earnings; alums with this degree are the lowest earners with a median annual pay of $35K.

Former Red Flashes who have experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) can expect to make 42 percent more than other alumni ($62K on average). Proficiency in Accounts Payable is common among SFU alumni, and when it comes to using it on the job, approximately one in six former students report doing so. Accounting, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Sales Management are among other dominant skills.

Benefits and Perks

A strong majority of grads set up a 401(k) to save for retirement. A fair number of graduates have medical plans, and a majority of grads have dental insurance. Other benefits awarded to Saint Francis University alumni include life insurance, a casual working environment, optional telecommute / work from home, and a company-subsidized cell phone.

Related Schools

Among alumni of similar schools, Chestnut Hill College grads (who make an average of $44K) earn salaries most similar to SFU alumni. Robert Morris University, DeSales University, and Shenandoah University are also similar to SFU.
