Degree Major

A Master of Business Administration (MBA), Business Administration earns SMC students the most money after college (an average $102K per year). Average annual salaries for those with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration are the lowest of the pack, earning $40K.


Knowledge of New Business Development seems to be related to bigger paychecks; in fact, skilled alumni bring in salaries that are 46 percent more than their former classmates' salaries (about $100K). SMC alumni are often well versed in Microsoft Excel, with around one in four grads ending up in jobs that require this skillset. Also considered top-notch skills are Project Management, Microsoft Office, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Benefits and Perks

When it comes to benefits, there is room for improvement — only two-fifths of alumni are paid for vacation and just one-third of alumni for sick time. It is no small feat that most alumni are given health coverage, and most alums accept dental insurance. In an effort to save up for the years ahead, a large number of graduates contribute to a 401(k).
