Graduates of Southeast Missouri go into the health care industry, the manufacturing industry, and the education industry, not to mention a variety of other lines of work. The majority of alumni accept jobs in the banking industry. For Southeast Missouri alumni, high SAT scores do not correlate to high-paying positions in the workforce. Following graduation, Southeast Missouri students earn an average of $48K.


After graduation, women go on to earn an average of about $46K per year compared to men, who earn $63K.


Former Southeast Missouri students with an interest in making money consider becoming Information Technology Directors, the highest-paying gig (earnings amount to $159K) among this alumni group. Other well-paid jobs include Family Nurse Practitioners (around $81K) and Software Engineers ($76K). On the flipside, the lowest-paying city popular among Southeast Missouri grads is Kansas City (median compensation is approximately $39K). Degree Major

A graduate with a B.A. in Bachelor of Arts and Science (BASc) from Southeast Missouri can rake in a whopping around $145K per year, more than any other degree from this school. A Bachelor of Science in General Studies is less advantageous in terms of earnings; alums with this degree are the lowest earners with annual pay of $30K.


Microsoft Excel is a popular skill among Southeast Missouri alumni, with about one in ten workers reporting using it on the job. A strong majority of respondents have medical plans, and a majority of the survey participants have dental insurance. A strong majority of grads allocate some part of their earnings to a company-sponsored 401(k) savings plan. Alumni of Southeast Missouri State University also take in life insurance, a company-subsidized cell phone, a casual working environment, and tuition reimbursement.
