Graduates holding a Bachelor of Science in Accounting fare the worst in terms of compensation with an average yearly salary of $63K.


Many SU grads have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with close to a sixth of alumni using this program on the clock. Former Jaguars with Project Management abilities can expect to make 68 percent more than their former classmates (about $101K). Experience with Project Management, Microsoft Word, and Financial Analysis is highly valued as well.

Benefits and Perks

Only two-fifths of alumni earn paid vacation and just one-fourth of alumni get paid sick time. A fair number of grads allocate some part of their earnings to a company-sponsored 401(k) savings plan. Benefits are rather generous for graduates of this school; a fair number of alumni are rewarded with health insurance and a large number of graduates report dental coverage, too. Southern University and A & M College alumni are also on the receiving end of life insurance, flexible hours, a casual working environment, and tuition reimbursement.
