Graduates of SJU work in a variety of sectors including the banking industry, the education industry, and law. A large chunk of former SJU students are employed in the financial services industry; in fact, this is the most popular job sector for this population. Following graduation, SJU students earn an average of $71K.

New York, N.Y. is a hub for SJU graduates — a large number call this city home. The top-paying city popular with SJU alumni is Staten Island, N.Y., which offers a median salary of about $84K. On the far end of the pay scale, SJU alumni often reside in Newark, N.J., which is home to the lowest pay at around $48K. Graduates of SJU also relocate to Melville, N.Y., which is not far away, and Philadelphia, Pa.

Degree Major

SJU students with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy can expect to make the most money ($133K on average per year) compared to their fellow graduates. A Bachelor of Science in Public Relations (PR) offers the lowest median annual financial reward ($29K).


Operations Management commands a pay premium of 22 percent for former Red Storms. Many former SJU students are familiar with Microsoft Excel, and roughly a seventh of grads move on to positions where this experience is utilized. Microsoft Office, Customer Service, and Project Management are among other dominant skills.

Benefits and Perks

Only two-fifths of alumni for this school enjoy paid vacation days and about one-fourth of alumni get paid sick time. Benefits are rather generous for graduates of this school; most alums are rewarded with health insurance and the larger part of grads report dental coverage, too. A large number of former students report contributing to a 401(k).
