Home to a large number of UCSC alums, San Francisco, Calif. is by far the most attractive city for these former students. On the other end, UCSC grads flock to Los Angeles, Calif., which actually offers the weakest median salary of $54K. When it comes to benefits, there is room for improvement — only one in three grads are paid for vacation and just one in four survey participants for sick time. A large number of graduates set up a 401(k) to save for retirement. It is no small feat that most graduates are given health coverage, and a fair number of survey participants accept dental insurance.
