Former Black Bears who fare the best in terms of salary hold a Bachelor's Degree and earn a median salary of approximately $61K per year. An Associate's Degree is less advantageous in terms of earnings; alums with this degree are the lowest earners with a median annual pay of $45K.


Many UMaine grads have knowledge of Customer Service, with just under one in four alumni using this program on the clock. Competency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) translates into above-average pay for former Black Bears — they earn 18 percent more than their fellow graduates. Project Management, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel are among other dominant skills.

Just one in four survey participants enjoy paid vacation and merely one in three grads get paid sick time. Most alumni save for retirement through a 401(k) plan. Dental insurance applies to a fair number of survey participants, and most grads report health coverage.
