How to make more money in todays workforce
National Sales Manager - (City withheld for privacy), Pennsylvania, United States
If you want to make real money today, then you need to look into some form of commission sales. Unfortunately, many people want to make $100k but think they deserve to get it upfront! Commission sales people are the top income earners in the world. I started at the age of 22 after graduation from college. I took a shot while I was young and stuck with it. I have always made near or above six figures and today I make well over 100k, and I get a salary and commissions. Start young and keep with it. Your first year may be rough but in your 2nd year you may be making 2 - 4 times what all your friends are making with their "safe" jobs in their little cubicles.

For those considering a career in this field, be prepared to spend at 30 - 40 hours of customer face time/troubleshooting and service account base.

In addition, 15 - 25 hours per week of general admin. work. Companies use the term "online tools". This is code for, "you're going to do all of the work that clerks and admin. assistants use to do".

Be very careful when deciding to choose motherhood and a career. I have done it now for 19 years and its been a grind...the kids grow up before you even realize their grown because you are so wrapped up in building your career...The way big business treats its employees today I just say "build a career? , FOR WHAT? WHAT FOR?

Be very careful...what is truly important in our lives should be our families not our pocketbooks...come on America, get your priorities straight!!!

They think they're paying me too much because i'm a good sales person and my commissions are high!
Sales Manager - (City withheld for privacy), Hawaii, United States
I've been working for a company for 6 years now and am the top producer in activity sales. Because i have made a decent amount my boss has decided that he's paying me too much. I'm actually bein punished for my productivity. He just yesterday dropped my commission percentage dramatically. That's the thanks that i get for being a productive employee who cares about the company and my job. Not only have i been cut but i haven't had a raise in 5 of the 6 years that i've been with the company. Again, the owner thinks that i make enough because of my high sales and commissions. Go figure.
