SEATTLE, WA–(Marketwired – Nov 13, 2014) – Today, PayScale, Inc. — the leader in cloud compensation data and software for businesses and individuals — announced the company hired Melody Brown as Senior Vice President of Sales and promoted Stacey Klimek to Vice President of People. The two new appointments bolster the leadership team by increasing PayScale’s focus on expanding its existing customer base and attracting talent to join a number of growing teams across the company. These appointments will also enable the company to continue its significant expansion following a $100 million investment from growth investment firm, Warburg Pincus in April.

Brown has 16 years of sales experience with a focus in the technology industry. She joins PayScale from DataCore Software, an enterprise storage company, where she was Vice President of Sales and Channel. Previously, Brown was Vice President of Online Experience, Digital Marketing and Inside Sales at Safeco Insurance. She also founded and served as Managing Principal of Peak Consulting, driving sales effectiveness and developing innovative partner programs for VMware, Safeco, PTC, Oracle and other technology clients. In addition, Melody spent seven years at Lexmark International, serving in various Sales and Marketing leadership roles. Brown serves on the Board of Directors of the Pike Place Market Foundation.
Klimek has 20 years of experience building and managing finance and operations teams. She has been with PayScale for five years and was promoted from her previous role of Controller, where she was responsible for human resources, hiring and retaining talent, as well as managing the accounting function for the company. In this previous role, she was instrumental in helping PayScale double its number of employees. Prior to joining PayScale, Klimek was Chief Financial Officer at the construction management firm Redhawk Group and Controller at two prominent Seattle technology firms — Captura Software and NetMotion Wireless.
