SEATTLE, Wash., August 3, 2015 — PayScale, Inc., the world’s leading provider of on-demand compensation data and software, today announced additions to its executive team ranks.
Katie Bardaro moves into the role as lead economist and VP of data analytics for PayScale. She joined PayScale in 2008 as a data analyst. Katie has provided commentary on compensation data and trends for print/online and broadcast media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist, CNBC, CNN Money, USA Today, Forbes, CBS Radio, Fox Business Network, and Business Insider, among others.
She will lead the data analytics team at PayScale, which is responsible for internal data validity studies, BI analytics, and building and maintaining PayScale’s proprietary compensation model. Katie holds a bachelor’s in economics from the College of the Holy Cross and a master’s in economics from University of Washington, with a focus in labor economics and econometrics.
Barnaby Dorfman has been promoted to Chief Engineering Officer. Barnaby joined PayScale in 2012 as general manager of PayScale’s consumer business. He has spent two decades managing large-scale web products, including seven years at Amazon.com, where he was a vice president in the search technology group. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University and received his MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Preston Heffernan has joined the company as VP of Business Development. With deep roots in Silicon Valley, he brings over 25 years of sales & business development experience in the technology industry. Previously, he operated the global alliance eco-system for Xactly, and also held leadership positions at Reachlocal and ShopEaze Systems. He holds a bachelor’s in communications and social sciences from the University of Southern California.
