Today, PayScale just got a little more social. Today's release focused on bringing your connections into your career and education decisions.
Questions About Employers, and Answers About Your Future
Our Personal Salary Report has been an invaluable tool to millions of you for the last decade. Our latest release adds another tool to your arsenal when researching your career. We now show you companies that employ people like you, an estimate of how much they might pay you, and if you have any LinkedIn connections that work at that company.
When you’re researching potential employers, you’re interested in more than just the salary… you want to know what it’s like at that company. So, now we’ve added the ability to post a question about working at that company and to ask your connections at that company to answer it. And, if you’re not comfortable asking or answering questions publicly, we allow you to anonymize yourself.
You can check out the new functionality from Your Personal Salary Report now.
If you’re new to PayScale, and have a LinkedIn account, you can use our Instant Salary Report for LinkedIn.
College Selector Shows Your Facebook Friends
In our last release we debuted our College Selector Tool, and now we’ve added a great new aspect: your Facebook friends. When you’re researching colleges, you can log in to Facebook and see which of your friends attended the colleges you’re interested in. If going to school with your friends is an important attribute for you when you are picking a college, you can sort schools that meet your requirements by the number of friends you have attending that school.
There are some other new behind-the-scenes tools, too, but we’re going to wait to tell you more about them.
As always, I’m happy to answer any questions or respond to any comments.
