When You Work on Vacation, You’re Not on Vacation

Mobile technology has enabled us to work more flexibly than we did, say, 25 years ago, but at a price: while demanding bosses of yesteryear were stuck with the occasional phone call, today's anxious managers can require us to check in almost constantly, emailing and messaging and working on projects remotely – almost to the point where we're not on vacation at all.

Majority of Workers Stay Plugged in During Vacations

We are all guilty of it -- sneaking a glance at our work emails, taking a skim at some reports or checking in on analytics, all while we are supposed to be taking a little time off. A new survey from Lee Hecht Harrison says the majority of workers stay plugged in while on vacation.
