Idaho is home to a small number of graduate schools on PayScale's College Salary Report. Several of these schools offer a variety of advanced degree programs, but this list only includes salary data for graduates who earned a non-MBA master's degree.
Boise State University is home to the largest graduate student population in Idaho (about 3,000 students) and a high median mid-career alumni salary. However, when we rank by the salary of alumni with five or fewer years of experience, Idaho State University in Pocatello leaps up the list. Comparatively, workers with a master's degree from Boise State University with zero to five years of experience report a typical salary around $50,000.
The University of Idaho grants the highest percentage of master's degrees in science, technology, engineering and math subjects, around 30 percent. Even though this would usually be an indicator that their alumni would earn more than graduates of other schools with less of an emphasis on STEM subjects, UI has one of the lowest alumni salary compared to other graduate schools we have data for.
