Attire: Business casual is recommended for the conference. We do recommend you dress in layers as temperatures in meeting rooms can vary.

Your Role at Compference

Choose the right sessions to optimize your learning within the week. There are many more sessions being offered than you’’’ll be able to attend in person. Plan your schedule to include content that builds the skills and knowledge you need to be successful with customers.

Be open, inspired, and willing to open your mind to new ideas and strategies. You’re going to meet new people, hear from expert speakers, and participate in many conversations at Compference. Be prepared to learn from others.

Engage with speakers, experts, and peers. Many sessions are structured to be interactive. Create a great experience and actively participate in your learning by asking questions and sharing your insights and ideas.

Network and build new relationships. Introduce yourself to new people and help others make new contacts as well. Everyone is at the event to connect and learn from each other.

Getting There

Arrival: Minneapolis St Paul Airport (MSP) is just a 30-minute drive from the resort.

  • For Shuttle Service: Super Shuttle – A one way trip is $14-$49 per person


On-site Registration:
The registration desk is located in the Red Wing Room, which is by the elevators on floor 3. Please bring your government issued photo ID to registration when picking up your event badge.

Registration Hours:

  • September 25: 8:00am – 8:00pm

  • September 26: 7:00am – 6:00pm

  • September 27: 7:00am – 4:00pm

Pre-Day Workshops

Thank you for signing up for a pre-day workshop to make the most out of your Compference experience. The workshop you signed up to attend requires you to bring your own device as you learn best practices and understand how to apply them to your PayScale instance, all while being with the PayScale team.

Time: The pre-day workshops take place from 10:00am – 3:30pm Wednesday, September 25.
Lunch will be served from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.

Registration: Please check in at Registration on floor 3 in the Red Wing Room to pick up your event credentials and get directions to your workshop location. Registration hours are listed above.

Weather and Time Zone

While temperatures are on the decline in September, the average high is around 72, with a high chance of cloud coverage, but low chance of rain. The conference will be in Central Daylight Time (GMT-5).


Beverages, breakfast, lunch and snack breaks, are provided daily at Compference. Light appetizers are provided at Wednesday’s Welcome Reception and dinner is provided at Thursday’s Customer Appreciation Dinner. Check the
Compference Agenda for times and locations.


Lunch will be held on the Second Floor in Marquette 1-9.

Specialty Meals

If requested during the registration process, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal and special allergy-aware meals will be available at the location where meals are served.

Share Your Favorite Story Book with the Community

Throughout Compference, we are asking you to share your comp story with us. The storytelling doesn’t end here, we also hope that you will help us share stories with the children of the community.

Give back to the people of Minneapolis by donating a story book (or multiple!). Please drop your books off at the Comptopia Booth in the Expo Hall. We are accepting books for kids of all ages. Donations will be accepted for the duration of Compference and will be given to the Jerry Gamble Boys and Girls Club of Twin Cities. Stop by the Comptopia booth if you have any questions.

Expo Hall

The Expo Hall is located directly outside the registration area on the third floor and right next to the General Session and Keynote Room.

Mother’s Room

On Level 3, please look for the Board Room 1 for any mothers who will need a private, quiet space. This will be open from 7am to 5pm daily.

Prayer Room

On Level 3 in Board Room 2, you will find a private, quiet space to reflect. This will be open from 7am to 5pm daily.
